Mountbay is made by Backroom Studio Ltd (“we”). This policy explains what information we handle and why.

Your files and connection details

Mountbay runs on your device. The servers and cloud services you connect, your passwords and sign-in tokens, and your files are stored on your device and sent only directly to the service you connected. We never receive or store them.

Licences

When you activate a licence we receive your licence key, an anonymous identifier for your device (a one-way hash, not your serial number), the device name you see in Mountbay, the platform and app version. Your app checks in once a day so that licences can be moved between devices and refunded licences stop working. We keep this information while your licence exists.

Purchases

Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your name, email address, country and the details of your purchase, but never your full card details. We use your email to send your licence key and important information about your purchase.

Website

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes basic request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be corrected or deleted, by emailing support@mountbay.app. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
